Dok je sredinom osamdesetih godina prošlog veka treš metal bio na vrhuncu popularnosti i dok niko nije ni pomišljao da ce za nekoliko godina nastupiti stvaralacka kriza, radala se generacija koja ce dvadesetak godina kasnije pomoci treš metalu da prevazide ambis bezidejnosti i industrije. Jedan od tih bendova, koji koristi duh osamdesetih, energiju evropskih i Bay Area treš metal bendova, a u isto vreme originalan pristup muzici je švedaki bend DECADENCE. Energicni, brzi rifovi, melodicne pesme i upecatljiv vokal mlade pevacice i frontmena benda Kitty Saric, poznatije kao Metallic Kitty karakterišu ovaj bend koji morate cuti ukoliko ste odrasli na oldschool rifovima treša. Bend ima za sobom cetiri albuma, s kojima je muzicki sazrevao i imao sve jasniju poruku: treš metal nije mrtav, preživeo je ambis i postaje jaci nego ikad. Nakon cetiri albuma cini se da Decadence prevazilazi okvire lokalne popularnosti i postaje internacionalno obeležje mladih treš metal snaga. Za mnoge od nas, koji su svoje najlude dane živeli u vreme kad su se ovi mladi ljudi tek radali, ovaj bend je i svojevrstan deja vu ali i snažan dokaz samoodržanja.

During the mid-80's of the last century, Thrash Metal was at its peak of popularity and no one thought that only a few years later there would be a creative crisis. Then, a new generation was born that after 20 years would help Thrash Metal to overcome the abyss of lack of ideas and the lack of the industry as a whole. One of those bands that uses the spirit of the 80's, the spirit of Bay Area Thrash Metal bands along with European energy while having an original approach to the music is the Swedish band DECADENCE. The energetic, fast riffs, melodic songs and impressive vocal of the young singer and frontman of the band Kitty Saric, known as Metallic Kitty, characterize this band that you have to hear if you grew up on Old School Thrash riffs. The band has four albums behind them with which the music has matured and all having the clear message: Thrash Metal is not dead, Thrash survived the abyss and has become stronger than ever. After four albums it seems that Decadence has exceeded the local popularity and become a hallmark of international young Thrash Metal power. For many of us who have lived their wildest days at a time when these young people where just born, this band is kind of déja vu and strong evidence of self-preservation.
