STUDIO UPDATE - VOCALS COMPLETE

This week, the vocals were recorded, and now it really feels like we're approaching the completion of our new album - we're really excited about that! I (Kitty) pushed my limits one step further, again, this time around! I really enjoyed it and playing with my vocals as always. We recorded a video clip from the session which is up on YouTube now (see it HERE) and it can also be seen as a small version here --->

MERRY XMAS!

We have been quite nervous these past few days because Kenneth had a disc crash on his PC where all the new Decadence tracks are stored (!) but luckily, after some nailbiting hours, it was recovered! To celebrate that, we booked the studio for the vocal recording! This will take place the second week of January and we'll keep you all posted on the progress. Now to some more good news before Xmas, we have just recieved our 100th positive review of "3rd Stage of Decay" and we're all very happy about that! Decadence wants to thank all the webzines and magazines involved in making this happen (see the Links-section for names!) and to our promoter Tom at Massacre Records!

DECADENCE ON SWEDISH TOUR WITH UNLEASHED

Decadence will join in on Unleashed's two Swedish tour dates together with Belphegor and Devian the 13th-14th of March 2009. The first show will be in Stockholm at Klubben, Fryshuset and the other one will be in Gothenburg at Sticky Fingers. This was confirmed today so more information about these shows will be available shortly. You will find some links in the "Live"-section. We actually thought that our next show in Stockholm would be the releaseparty but this will be an excellent warm up for that! Prepare for some brutal headbanging! Tickets and more info HERE.

SESSION GUITARIST: NIKLAS SKOGQVIST

When the auditioning period started when Simon left we initially thought that this would take time, but as it turns out, we were wrong! We want to welcome our new session guitarist Niklas Skogqvist on board who we all think is a great match to the band! Prepare to see more of this guy in the future. ANNOUNCEMENT

STUDIO UPDATE - BASS COMPLETE

Jocke got the bass tracks down some weeks ago and now I have completed and uploaded the next "(Unnecessary) Studio Outtake" from that session! The guitars are almost complete now as well and it feels great to approach the end of the recording. Good work with the bass Jocke! Kenneth was behind the wheel in this and we had a great time recording it all.

Right now Kenneth is finnishing off the guitar wall and when that is done, the vocals are due! Stay tuned for updates and more outtakes! METALLIC KITTY DOLL / New Website

Based on the wishes of the "Metallic Kitty Doll"-designers Miho & Kisakino, a new website has been dedicated to their work. The designers are from Japan and are great supporters of Decadence and Kitty. Miho (doll designer) and Kisakino (clothing designer) are now selling this handmade doll in a limited quantity - in sample form. Each doll has its own: Unique number, Certificate of Authenticity - signed by Kitty in person and clothing, jewellery and accessories that are replicas of Kitty's real clothing in a smaller scale. By this new website, we in Decadence are giving our full support and gratefulness to Miho and Kisakino as the official creators of the "Metallic Kitty Doll" as a part of our official merchandise!

BASS RECORDING ALMOST DONE / New website

Today Jocke got 50% of the bass tracks recorded and we had a great time during the recording! Awesome work Jocke, we look forward to the rest! We did of course film some clips to share it with you all but it will be uploaded at a later point together with some guitar clips of Kenneth's and Simon's sessions - stay tuned!

Currently I'm also giving Decadence.se a complete make-over so a brand new site will be placed here shortly. It will all be uploaded as the new album work approaches its goal. The new site will have all sections in the menu updated so you will find new information in every link that's here now. New stuff will also be added! The site as it is now has done its part and along with the new album, it will be a new beginning for all of us!

3RD STAGE OF DECAY - OUT EVERYWHERE!

'3rd Stage of Decay' is now released all over and you will be able to find no less than 3 versions of it out there! Even though we have a total of 3 full-length albums and a demo in our discography, we still feel that this album was our debut somehow so it feels great to finally have it out worldwide as we always hoped!

We know that the re-release of this album may cause some confusion for people since we are in the studio recording our next album so to make it clear once and for all: '3rd Stage of Decay' is a re-release and our NEW album is in the middle of recording right now. Due to the fact that '3rd Stage of Decay' is out there now we will put the release of our new album on hold for a little while longer... but not too long! Stay tuned for more updates!

3RD STAGE OF DECAY - Worldwide release soon!!

Here we are in the middle of the recording of our new album and there's only one day left until our latest album '3rd Stage of Decay' will be re-released worldwide by Massacre Records - on Friday this week the 22nd of August! It feels as though we have two new albums now and it feels great! The Germans have been writing reviews like crazy and some of them that I managed to find are linked in the "Links"-section. For readers who know German though! New interviews are coming up as well!

Currently we are recording the rhythm guitars for our next coming album and there will soon be another outtake out on YouTube from those recording sessions!

Another fun news is that we've gotten ourselves another fan who tattooed a Decadence inspired tattoo. All of us in Decadence gives Micke our horns up for that!

ARTWORK DESIGNER FOR THE NEW ALBUM

Now we think it's time to present the person who have done the inside artwork for our upcoming album booklet! We met this young Japanese girl because she is a Decadence fan and after seeing her art we wanted to make her a part of all this - Yumi Nishikata (enter her MySpace here). It has been great working with her so far, I (Kitty) give her the concept, she draws it and then I modify it once more for the booklet. STUDIO UPDATE - Drums Complete

Erik did a great job in the studio last Friday and it feels great to have the drums tracks all recorded for our new album, good work Erik!Also thanks to our studio tech Victor Meding for recording it all. DECADENCE ENTERING THE STUDIO

We just got back from the Sweden Rock Festival this morning. Thank you all for being there at our show last night and supporting us there!

We are now preparing for the studio and we will enter it on Friday the 6th of June (this week!) and start recording the drums for our 4th studio album. This time we will make a complete video studio diary so you all can follow up on how things are going over here! The news will also be updated here the more we go along. DECADENCE SIGNS TO MASSACRE RECORDS!

So... the big secret is out! Decadence and HTI Records has now joined forces with yet another label - Massacre_Records! We are proud to announce that from now on Massacre Records will work with us and release our upcoming albums. '3rd Stage of Decay' will be re-released under their wings aaaand... prepare yourselves for our new album - the recording starts next week!

I want to give a special thanks to my dear friend Maurice Swinkels, frontman of Legion_of_The_Damned for being my support through all this - thank you friend! Also thank you Thomas at Massacre Records, it's been great working with you to reach this common goal.

KITTY ON BOOK COVER

Bobby (Street Team USA) stumbled upon two books written by Garry Sharpe-Young called "Thrash Metal" and "Death Metal". THE ORGANIZER CANCELLED THE THRASH FESTIVAL IN BELGIUM!

Today I got an email from Sandstorm who is the organizer of the Thrash Festival in Leuven, Belgium. They announced that they have cancelled the whole festival due to economical problems from previous events. What is most disturbing about this for us is all those fans who have already bought tickets and especially those who have waited the whole year for the event. We have the deepest sympathies for those of you who have been put in that position. We are sad not to be able to come and play for the Belgian fans but we promise we will make it up to you as soon as we can.

BACK FROM SPAIN - Ready from Umeå, Sweden!

We are back from our first Spain invasion! Our impression of it all was great and we are very grateful for all the awesome support we've gotten from our Spanish fans! We want to thank the organizers, the crew, the bands and especially all the fans for making this a great first visit! A special thanks to Luis Andrés Cabeza Gaudioso of Burning Hell Festival for being one of the best organizers we've had! We hope to return to Spain soon again! Today the new number, #4, of Venezuelan Metal magazine 'Mattey Magazine' dropped down my mailbox. It includes a nice compilation album featuring 19 bands - 'Corrosion' on the first track! KITTY'S PC GOT HACKED!

Yesterday my PC was hacked and lots of valuable information was lost, among other things my entire MySpace page with over 15 000 friends and fans and over 200 000 views. This is a big loss for all of us and we hope you all will find your way back to my new URL which is the same as the last one: www.myspace.com/metallickitty.

I still haven't retrieved all of the information so if anything weird is going on, you know what it is and don't hesitate to let us know. My advice to you all is to use a separate email login if you use MySpace which is a highly unsafe site. The hacker got in without the use of any passwords. Well, we move on from here and keep going as we always have!

THE SHOW LAST NIGHT & NEW PROMO PICS!

Kafé 44 was as great as ever, and we had loads of fun last night! The crowd was amazing and we really enjoyed every moment of it. Thank you Thompa Eken for a great organization once again, and for baking cookies for all of us! Also thanks to the sound technician Peter for making it all possible. DECADENCE STREET TEAMS ARE GROWING!

What started out as a smaller idea is developing into some really nice activity! Decadence Street Teams have been launched in various countries and the interest is growing! The basic idea was for fans to create Decadence MySpace sites for fans in their own respective language and simply spreading the word. This has turned out really great and we are proud of our teams who are already working hard, even beyond MySpace. CHRIS ASTLEY OF XENTRIX JOINS FORCES

We have some great news for the fans out there! Prepare for a thrashing and bashing guest appearance by the great vocalist Chris Astley, of one of the greatest Thrash acts from the 80's - Xentrix, for our bonus track of the Japanese edition of our latest album "3rd Stage of Decay." We are proud to have him on our album and we hope all of you out there will enjoy this as much as we do! The Japanese edition will be released during this summer! Decadence has now signed a license deal with Spiritual Beast distributed by Universal Music Japan. We are looking forwards to a good and long future cooperation and hope that our music will reach out to more people, especially in the Far East. LAST NIGHT'S SHOWS IN NORRKÖPING, SWEDEN

We had a really great time yesterday and enjoyed every minute of it. We want to thank the The Crash crew and also the two bands sharing the stage with us: Bullet and Babylon Bombs. Thanks Bullet for inviting us to your tour bus! I'm sure the Decadence boys will force me to buy one for us now...! Hopefully we'll meet on the road sometime soon again and hopefully do that battle of the bands bowling that time! A big horns up from us for last night! Now, Denmark here we come!

DANISH UPDATES

The Danish dates are closing in but we are sad to announce that one gig (Studenterhus, Aarhus) had to be cancelled due to transportation issues. We are however playing in Copenhagen as planned. We are sorry for the inconvenience but still very eager to come to Denmark once again! And for those of you who want to see us in Aarhus, the opportunity might come up early the fall of 2007. THRASHING THE DUTCH 2007 - TOUR

We can now gladly announce that our tour for the Netherlands this summer has been confirmed! So for all of you guys down there, preparing for a Decadence invasion, put the dates from the 6th - 10th of June in your calendars because thanks to Sander Pieters, we will join forces with My Own Mess and give all you Dutch thrashers hell!

NOW THAT GIG WAS SOMETHING!

The gig at Kafé 44 was awesome! We thank the great crowd for their support, Anders for his work and the sound tech's, and of course Thompa for baking cookies! We felt warmly welcome and this definately reflected itself on the gig. GREAT GIG LAST NIGHT!

The gig at Club Undertaker yesterday was really great! Thank you guys in the crowd for being there to support us! Also a thanks to the bands sharing the stage with us, Memfis, Godphobia and Maramon, and to Soile Siirtola for coming with us! Next up: Kafé 44 on Tuesday the 30th of Jan in Stockholm along with Vörgus and Infuneral...prepare for a Thrash vs Black Metal eve!

We want to start off to thank all of you coming to our releaseparty yesterday. Many of our close friends were there and we can't thank you enough for the great support you all have shown us! Also thanks to Sophie at Club Distortion for helping us to arrange this evening and also to Godhate for sharing the joy with us. A big horns up to all of you! We hope too see more of those Decadence shirts around town now!

RELEASEPARTY + DECADENCE IS NOW A SIGNED BAND!

So here are the big news! I have now started up my own record label entitled HTI Records. Decadence is therefore signed onto it and will release the upcoming album professionally. The album will be available through various distributors in various countries. More to be added about this later.

The Releaseparty is therefore set along with the great news. Godhate will support us once again at Pub Anchor - Stockholm/Sweden. The four of us in Decadence will perform, no session guitarist. We thank all of you who have followed us up to this point and we hope to bring lots of enjoyment with our new work to be released the 2nd of Nov 2006!

CURRENT NEWS

First of all we want to thank Ulf Sörman för being our session guitarist on five of our shows. Our last show together in Sandviken was a real blast and so were the other ones too! It has been great having you with us on the Crew for this time and we wish you all the best with your band in the future!

The work for our upcoming album is working out just fine! The release is expected in the beginning of November. Stay tuned!

YESTERDAY'S GIG AT ROCKKLUBBEN

Despite the fact that I felt pretty ill, we decided to go and have a great time at Rockklubben anyway. We've been wanting to play at that place for too long now - and it was worth the wait! The crowd was really excellent and we can't thank Daniel and all others involved in Rockklubben enough! It will be great coming back to this place more in the future! Horns up for all of you who came and supported us!

SOME NEWS!

First of all, I would like to proudly present the new Decadence T-Shirts! FINALLY they are done, after lots of work back and forth. All sizes are available and they are of the Fruit Of The Loom kickass brand! You can view them in the updated E-Shop section. Also! the new ESP/Decadence 3D stickers are now available!

The bad news are that I've gotten a really bad cold so the gig at Sandviken seems very insecure at the moment. More news about that later...

However, yet another gig with Chainsaw will take place the 30th of September, the live section will be updated with the details later this week. Stay tuned!

VOCALS DONE! / Upcoming gig...

I was in the studio yesterday and recorded the vocals. It turned out to become some really Thrashy and brutal stuff! I enjoyed it a lot and I can't wait for you guys to hear the new material! Thank you once again, our studio guy: Jocke! I will also add that our bassist Jocke is done with the bass recording! Great work!

The gig in Sandviken - Rockklubben is closing in. In two weeks on saturday you can prepare for a kickass show! It's going to be great and an Escape From The Studio for us!

STUDIO UPDATES

So, the drums are recorded and sound kickass so far. For now, the rhythm guitars are in session. Even though everything is tight, the drums/tracks are much faster than expected. The first left/right guitars are done. Now it's time for the second round. We're still playing D-tuned and have no intentions of changing. As for the current shit-mix, it sounds very good.

The drums are quite an improvement from the last album "The Creature". As promised, the tracks contain more thrash riffs (without changing the "Decadence sound"). I would say that the main structure of most songs is Thrash. The bass recording will start within 2 weeks. More to come.

STUDIO + ENDORSEMENT

The first good news are that Decadence just returned from the drum studio and Erik did a kickass job! You rock man. Thanks Joakim Ekstrand for recording and Stefan Norberg for your support! So, now the guitars are due to be recorded - Kenneth's next!

Decadence has now gotten endorsement by ESP Guitars & Basses. A big thank you to Micke at the Swedish ESP dealers. Now, Joakim and Kenneth are properly equipped!

WHY AREN'T THERE ANY UPCOMING SHOWS?

Well, the answer to that is simply because we have begun the hard rehearsing before our studio time for the upcoming third fullength album! We're all looking forwards to it a lot and we're expecting to have it done by September this fall of 2006. Certainly, there will be a Releaseparty here in Stockholm soon thereafter, but who knows, maybe we'll appear at some other shows before that, stay tuned!

So, the Decadence Crew is back from Finland and we had such a great time! We can't thank HATEFORM enough for the great work they've done and their warm welcoming. The gig at Bar Pelimies was absolutely awesome so you guys can expect to see Hateform in Sweden with us at our upcoming Releasparty this fall! Also thanks to Dismay for sharing the joy with us and to the wonderful crowd!

ITALY!

Wow, are there any words to describe this?! Our minitour in Italy was the best thing that's ever happened to us! We had such a great time and enjoyed every second of it! We want to thank all of you out there who supported us in the best way possible! A special thanks to: Alessandro, Brett, Baffojorg, Andrea, Vlad, all the bands that supported us, Metal Massacre and many more! We will be back next year!

So, thanks to our great arrangers, a gig in Marcon, Italy is confirmed the 19th of May 2006 with 4 great local bands supporting us. Due to this, we sadly had to cancel our appearance at the Ekstock Festival but hopefully, for those of you who wanted to see us there, you will get the chance this fall! Thanks Jonaz at Ekens Gård for your patience!

We also welcome Ulf Sörman as our Italian tour-session guitarist. It will be great having him with us in the Deca crew during this time!

The gig at Undertaker is closing in so grab the chance to see us there with Chainsaw, Nattas and Beauty of Malice because after Italy, Decadence is entering the studio to record the third full-length!

Christian Lindholm and Niclas Rådberg, both guitarists in Decadence are no longer a part of the band. We wish them good luck in the future and give them a big thank you for the year we've spent together. Bass guitarist Kenneth Lantz has now become the new lead guitarist and Decadence is currently looking for a rhythm guitarist and bassist. Stay in touch.
